Laimer Agrees to New Three

Bayern Munich defender Konrad Laimer has signed a new three-year contract with the club.

The 29-year-old player joined Bayern from RB Leipzig in July 2023 and has since made 136 appearances, contributing to the team’s victories in two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.

The Austria international also made four appearances in the recent World Cup, helping his country advance to the knockout phase.

Although primarily a defender, Laimer had a noteworthy attacking season, netting three goals and providing 13 assists across all competitions.

He expressed his delight on Bayern’s website: “Wearing the FC Bayern jersey means a lot to me. I’ve often shared how happy I am in Munich and the joy I feel playing with this team. I’ve felt that support from day one. I can contribute in various positions and I’m dedicated to giving my all for FC Bayern every single second. Together with this team, anything is attainable, and I can’t wait for the new season to begin.”

Bayern Munich will kick off their 2026-27 Bundesliga campaign at home against VfB Stuttgart on August 28.
