Stars from LaLiga gathered at the Bernabéu Stadium on Sunday for an historic NFL game featuring the Washington Commanders and Miami Dolphins—the first regular-season match ever held in Spain.
The Bernabéu received a stunning makeover in preparation, all thanks to Real Madrid, who were thrilled to showcase the venue.

Prior to kickoff, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez and former coach Zinedine Zidane mingled with notable figures including Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, and Madrid’s mayor José Luis Martínez Almeida, sharing warm greetings and photos. Zidane had the honor of tossing the coin to officially begin the game.

Among the current players in attendance were Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, known for his love of American sports, and Koke.
Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger was also present.

Also in attendance was former Madrid forward and current Fenerbahçe player Marco Asensio.
Madrid legends Iker Casillas and Guti also made an appearance, taking the opportunity to reconnect, while Casillas met up with Mexican goalkeeper Memo Ochoa.

Entertainment highlights during the halftime show included performances by Daddy Yankee and Bizarrap. This matchup marked the NFL’s seventh and final international game for the season, with plans to visit Mexico City next year.
The Dolphins secured a 16-13 victory in overtime, thanks to a 29-yard field goal from Riley Patterson. During the game, Dolphins linebacker Jack Jones celebrated a significant interception by mimicking Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic “SIU” celebration.
