Mohamed Salah finds himself on the bench for Liverpool’s second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 33-year-old was also sidelined last week during the 2-0 first-leg loss, remaining on the bench in Paris despite Liverpool’s urgent need for goals.

Salah, who is expected to depart the club at the season’s end, scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield since November with a strike against Fulham last Saturday.

Once again, the Egyptian international has not made it into the starting lineup against Luis Enrique’s side, with Alexander Isak taking his place alongside Hugo Ekitike up front.

This marks Isak’s first start since Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in December, as the £125 million striker continues to regain full fitness after missing 100 days due to a broken leg and ankle injury.

In addition, Florian Wirtz is set to fill a midfield role alongside Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch. Defensively, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong join Ibrahima Konaté and captain Virgil van Dijk in the backline.

Giorgi Mamardashvili will continue to substitute for the injured Alisson Becker, while teenage forward Rio Ngumoha, who scored against Fulham, will move to the bench.
