Real Madrid has officially stated that they have not engaged in any “direct or indirect” talks regarding a contract with Michael Olise concerning a potential summer transfer.
Several media outlets have connected the Bayern Munich and France winger with a high-profile move to the La Liga club as they aim to restructure their team under coach José Mourinho.
During his campaign for re-election, president Florentino Pérez dismissed any notion of interest in Olise, clarifying that the club’s intended €150 million bid was aimed at Atlético Madrid‘s Julián Álvarez.
“In response to various media reports suggesting interest from our club in Bayern Munich player Michael Olise, Real Madrid C.F. wishes to clarify that there has been no contact—either direct or indirect—with the player, his agents, or anyone associated with him,” the club said in a statement on Saturday.
“Real Madrid also emphasizes the strong institutional relationship it has with Bayern Munich, characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, and admiration. We regret the spread of speculation that does not represent the truth.”
“Both clubs have always fostered a relationship grounded in trust and respect. This is evident in our shared understanding that any interest in a player from either team should be communicated between the clubs directly, aligning with the principles of institutional loyalty that have governed the relationship between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid over the years.”
While Madrid typically keeps transfer details under wraps, they have occasionally issued statements to refute reports of contact with players from other clubs, such as Kylian Mbappé in 2023, well before his eventual move to the Bernabéu.

Olise made a significant impact for Bayern in their journey to the Champions League semifinals last season and is currently representing France at the World Cup, where he contributed an assist in their 3-1 victory against Senegal.
Real Madrid has already confirmed the signings of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, and Ibrahima Konaté this week. Additionally, Pérez has hinted at acquiring Denzel Dumfries as promised during his campaign.
Reports suggest that the club continues to seek a central midfielder and a center-back, and they haven’t ruled out adding more firepower to the attack.
