Martínez, Patrick Dorgu…

Michael Carrick, the head coach of Manchester United, has received a positive update with the inclusion of Lisandro Martínez and Patrick Dorgu in the squad for an upcoming training camp in Ireland.

Martínez’s return is particularly encouraging after he has missed the last five matches due to a calf injury.

The club is optimistic that the Argentine defender will regain his fitness in time for the match against Leeds United, scheduled for April 13 at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately for Carrick, Harry Maguire will be unavailable for the match, having been suspended following a red card during the recent 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.

Dorgu, who has been sidelined for eight matches due to a hamstring injury, is back to training on the field and will join the team in Dublin for further recovery.

Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo are also part of the 25-man squad after missing international duty with Slovenia and Cameroon, respectively.

Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton will not travel as they continue to recover from illness.

Matthijs de Ligt, who hasn’t played since November due to a back injury, is also left out of the squad.

Manchester United’s last match was a 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium on March 20.

Currently sitting third in the Premier League, Carrick’s squad has seven games left to secure their return to the Champions League.
