Martínez Trains in…

Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martínez, the goalkeeper for the Argentine national team, has successfully completed his first full training session with gloves after recovering from a finger injury.

On May 20, during warm-ups for his team’s Europa League final victory over Freiburg, the Aston Villa star suffered a fracture in the ring finger of his right hand.

During the early recovery phase, Martínez utilized a splint and trained with just one glove.

He resumed training on Thursday with both gloves.

Although Martínez missed warm-up matches against Honduras and Iceland, he is anticipated to start for Argentina in their World Cup opener against Algeria on June 16 in Kansas City.

At 33 years old, Martínez has had an impressive season with Villa, finishing fourth in the Premier League.
