Mbappé slams false…

Kylian Mbappé has stated that “some inaccuracies have been reported” regarding his knee injury, which limited his participation with Real Madrid in recent weeks.

The French forward has come off the bench in Madrid’s last two matches, including Sunday’s thrilling comeback against Atleti. He had spent three and a half weeks sidelined due to a sprained left knee, an issue he has faced since late last year.

At a promotional event in France, Mbappé addressed the situation, stating, “My knee is fine. It’s improving.

“Things are going well, and I’m aware of the speculation surrounding my condition, including some inaccuracies that have been reported.

“This is part of being a top athlete; we’re accustomed to people making statements without verification or factual basis.”

When Madrid announced earlier in March that Mbappé had re-aggravated a knee injury from December, the club opted for a conservative treatment approach.

The 2018 World Cup champion is included in the France national team for two friendlies in the United States at the end of March, facing Brazil on March 26 and Colombia on March 29.

The victory over Atleti kept Madrid four points behind leaders Barcelona in LaLiga, while Alphonso Arbeloa’s side is also preparing for a Champions League quarterfinal showdown against Bayern Munich in the upcoming weeks.
