Neymar Dismisses…

Neymar plans to fulfill his contract with Santos despite receiving interest from MLS.

Reports from ESPN earlier this month indicated that FC Cincinnati was looking into the possibility of bringing the Brazilian sensation to the U.S. this summer and had made contact with Neymar’s agents to assess his level of interest.

Neymar, whose contract runs out with Santos at the end of the year, commented on these rumors, stating “Honestly, I don’t know about the possibility of leaving in the next transfer window.”

“I have a contract with Santos until the end of the year, and I plan to honor it.”

A knee injury has curtailed Neymar’s 2026 season, limiting him to just eight appearances so far, during which he has netted four goals and provided three assists for Santos.

Upon returning from injury, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star scored in Santos’ disappointing 1-1 draw against Deportivo Recoleta on Tuesday.

After the match, he was involved in a disagreement with a fan as the team left the field to booing from the crowd.

Neymar took to Instagram later, sharing: “Winning, losing, or drawing is part of football! We’ll keep working to improve… That’s all we can do.”
