Neymars Santos Manager…

Neymar’s club, Santos, has parted ways with manager Juan Pablo Vojvoda after suffering a 2-1 loss to Internacional on Wednesday.

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona star equalized for Santos following an early own goal, but an injury-time winner from Johan Carbonero left Santos precariously just one point above the relegation zone.

Vojvoda’s dismissal was confirmed shortly after the match, meaning he did not even have the opportunity to participate in a post-match press conference.

He leaves Santos in a difficult situation; Internacional’s victory marked their first win in the Brazilian Serie A this season. Santos now sits only one point ahead of them—and the relegation zone—after seven matches.

Vojvoda took over as Santos manager in August of last year, when the club was two points clear of the relegation zone. Under his guidance, they experienced a minor improvement, finishing the season in 12th place.

However, Santos has struggled this season, recording four wins against six losses in their 15 matches across all competitions.

In the last five fixtures, they managed just one win, culminating in their elimination from the Campeonato Paulista by second-tier side Novorizontino.

As of now, Santos has not announced a replacement for Vojvoda.
