Piero Hincapié seals…

Arsenal have made Piero Hincapie’s move from Bayer Leverkusen permanent. The Gunners are paying around £34.5m (€40m) for the Ecuador defender, who initially arrived on loan last summer. The 24-year-old, who made 39 appearances across all competitions as Mikel Arteta’s side won the Premier League, has signed a deal through 2031. Leverkusen confirmed the purchase option was triggered and said he will continue his career with the London club. Hincapie is currently at the World Cup with Ecuador, who face Germany on Thursday at 21:00 BST.
