Reigning European champions Paris St‑Germain have been drawn against Premier League pair Manchester City and Aston Villa, as well as five-time winners Barcelona, in this season’s Champions League league phase.
The back-to-back title holders will host Barca at the Parc des Princes and have away trips to Villa Park and Manchester following the league-phase draw.
Premier League champions Arsenal will welcome 15-time winners Real Madrid to the Emirates Stadium and also travel to face Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta’s side, who lost last season’s final to PSG on penalties, will also take on Borussia Dortmund, Real Betis, Lille, Napoli, Azerbaijan champions Sabah and Slavia Prague.
Enzo Maresca’s City will host PSG at the Etihad Stadium and travel to Barcelona, where they will be reunited with Spain’s World Cup winner Rodri, who moved to the Nou Camp in a £65m transfer this summer.
City will also face another of their former midfielders, Kevin De Bruyne, when Napoli visit Manchester. Their other opponents are Sporting, Porto, RB Leipzig, AEK Athens and Lens.
Europa League holders Aston Villa, back in the competition after a year away, will host PSG and Dortmund, and will travel to Barcelona and Galatasaray.
Unai Emery’s team will also meet Club Brugge, Fenerbahce, Viking and Slavia Prague.
Manchester United, returning after two seasons out, will face Bayern, Atletico Madrid, Roma, Sporting, Leipzig, Villarreal, Sabah and Como.
Liverpool will host Atletico, Porto, Villarreal and Lens, and will travel to Inter Milan, Brugge, Fenerbahce and LASK.
The league phase begins on Tuesday, 8 September, with the final round of fixtures on 27 January 2027. The full schedule will be announced on Saturday.
This season’s final is set for Madrid on 5 June.
