Pulisic to Miss Milan…

Christian Pulisic is expected to be sidelined for AC Milan‘s upcoming Serie A match against Lazio this weekend, according to manager Massimiliano Allegri on Thursday.

The U.S. soccer star recently returned from a hamstring strain but had to withdraw from training on Wednesday due to mild muscular discomfort, as reported in Italy.

During his pre-match press conference, Allegri expressed doubt over Pulisic’s likelihood of being fit for Saturday’s game, stating, “Pulisic is unlikely to play, although there are still two days until the match and anything can happen.”

Pulisic previously sustained a minor tear in his right hamstring during the first half of the U.S. men’s national team’s 2-1 friendly win over Australia on October 17.

He returned to action as a substitute in a 2-2 draw against Parma on November 8.

Though he was not part of Mauricio Pochettino’s USMNT squad for the friendlies against Paraguay and Uruguay in November, Pulisic did start and netted the only goal in Milan’s recent derby victory over Inter last weekend.

As Milan approaches their match against Lazio, they currently sit two points behind Serie A leaders Roma.
