Pulisics Goalless Streak…

Christian Pulisic has matched the most extended goalless streak of his career after failing to score in AC Milan‘s 0-0 draw against Juventus on Sunday.

This match marked Pulisic’s 16th consecutive game for Milan without finding the net. The United States forward has similarly not scored in his last eight matches for the national team, with his last goal coming on December 28.

Chances during the match at San Siro were limited, although Juventus midfielder Khéphren Thuram had a goal disallowed for offside, and Alexis Saelemaekers struck the crossbar early in the second half for Milan.

Pulisic had previously experienced a 16-game goalless streak while playing for Chelsea during the 2022-23 Premier League season. He was substituted in the 60th minute on Sunday and appeared visibly frustrated as he left the field.

After the match, Milan’s manager Massimiliano Allegri acknowledged the challenge Pulisic faces and expressed confidence in his ability to finish the season on a high note.

“Christian is a very sensitive player, and this scoring drought is affecting him more than usual,” Allegri told DAZN. “He tends to struggle with the physicality of duels and our lack of a center forward, but it’s my responsibility to maintain balance within the team as we pursue our goals.”

“I understand he may not be fully suited to play this role; I had asked him to take the position of center right tonight with [Rafael] Leão in the center left, which left us without a true center forward. I’m confident that by the season’s end, Pulisic will contribute significantly.”

The draw positions Milan third in the standings, likely securing a Champions League spot for next season, but they trail leaders Inter by 12 points, making their Serie A title aspirations dim.

The U.S. national team will kick off their World Cup campaign on June 12 against Paraguay. This will be followed by Group D matches against Australia and Türkiye.

The chances for the Americans at the World Cup, co-hosted with Mexico and Canada, largely depend on Pulisic regaining his scoring touch after a promising start to the 2025-26 season where he was among the top players in Italy for both goals and assists.

In other Serie A news, Como, under the management of Cesc Fabregas, is now just three points behind fourth-place Juventus, following their 2-0 victory over Genoa.
