Rangers have announced the signing of Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsy from Portland Timbers for an undisclosed fee and the season-long loan of Algerian winger Badredine Bouanani from Stuttgart.
The double deal, confirmed as the Scottish transfer window closed on Thursday, lifts the club’s summer intake to 14 players.
Kelsy, 22, has agreed a four-year contract with an option for a further year. He joined Portland on a four-year deal after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2025.
This season, Kelsy has played 16 times for the Timbers, scoring 10 goals and supplying three assists, with Portland sitting 11th in the Western Conference and 17th overall in MLS.
In total, the 6ft 4in (1.93m) left-footed forward has made 63 appearances, netting 19 goals and recording five assists, having helped Portland finish eighth in the West and 17th overall last year.
He began his career at Mineros de Guayana, moved to Boston River in Uruguay, and then enjoyed two title-winning campaigns with Shakhtar Donetsk, scoring nine goals in 37 matches.
