A League One club says images in its online store showing merchandise with the club’s name misspelled were posted by mistake. Reading FC’s shop listed a bobble hat with a badge reading “Readino Footrall Club” and another reading “Readng.” The club has not confirmed how the errors occurred.
Reading said the listings have been removed and thanked the BBC for alerting them, explaining that the assets remained live in error but are now taken down. The club added that it has a skilled in-house creative team, supported by a leading design agency and photographer, producing high-quality content across its digital platforms. The BBC checked the physical products in Reading’s shop and found the club’s name was spelled correctly.
