Declan Rice and Noni Madueke have responded to critics of Arsenal following their recent loss in the Champions League final.
Just a day after Arsenal lost to Paris Saint-Germain in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, the team celebrated their Premier League title with a bus parade in north London.
While proudly displaying the Premier League trophy, Rice and Madueke took a swipe at the derogatory comments aimed at Arsenal regarding their defeat.
“Champions! While others are tweeting and posting,” stated Madueke on social media.
Rice chimed in with four laughing emojis, commenting, “Jealousy everywhere.”
Tottenham’s fullback Djed Spence, an upcoming England teammate of both Rice and Madueke for the World Cup, also took the opportunity to mock Arsenal after their defeat to PSG.
Spence reacted to an Arsenal social media post from February that featured the phrase “locked up” alongside a clip of him.
Following Arsenal’s loss, he posted eye emojis and an open lock emoji in response.
Chelsea also jumped in on the banter, reminding fans that they remain the only London club to have won the Champions League. They quickly advertised an opportunity to visit their trophy shortly after Arsenal’s shot at silverware slipped away.

“Come and visit London’s Home of Trophies. Book your Stadium Tour at Stamford Bridge now,” Chelsea’s post read.
During Sunday’s bus parade, which celebrated their first Premier League title in 22 years, Rice expressed his commitment to the team: “I love this team, I love the manager. The joy we bring to people is incredible. But next year, we’re coming back for more. You heard it here first. Lock in or get locked out.”
Rice, Madueke, and Spence will soon join the England squad for pre-World Cup friendlies.
