Ryan Reynolds and Rob…

Wrexham’s owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, will celebrate their five-year anniversary at the club by providing live commentary during the upcoming match against Swansea this month.

The celebrity pair acquired the then non-League team in 2021 and has since led them to three consecutive promotions, with Wrexham now vying for a spot in the Premier League.

This championship clash against their Welsh rivals, Swansea, will take place on Friday, March 13, at Stok Cae Ras, where Reynolds and McElhenney will provide live match analysis alongside fan contributions.

The duo expressed on Wrexham’s official site: “Much like when we decided to take over Wrexham five years ago, we truly have no clue how this will turn out, but we are committed to giving it our all.

“Neither of us has ever commentated on a sporting event before, let alone in a sport we only learned the basics of five years ago. Regardless, it’s bound to be another unpredictable day at Stok Cae Ras, and we are excited!”

They also expressed gratitude towards their partners at the EFL and Sky Sports, humorously adding, “We hope Sky Sports is prepared with the bleep button.”

Currently, Wrexham holds sixth place in the table, clinching the final playoff spot after three consecutive victories, and they are set to face Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup this Saturday.
