Sources have informed ESPN that Arsenal is in the process of finalizing a new long-term contract with Bukayo Saka.
Both sides have been optimistic over the past few months regarding the 24-year-old’s commitment to the club, with indications that negotiations are approaching a favorable outcome.
While an official agreement is still pending and Arsenal did not comment when reached by ESPN, sources suggest that Saka is likely to sign a five-year contract, which would position him as one of the top earners at the club.
Kai Havertz is reputedly the highest-paid player in the squad, earning £280,000 per week (approximately $375,300).
Arsenal has been eager to secure long-term deals for their standout players, having recently awarded improved contracts to William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly last year.
Having risen through the Hale End academy, Saka has become one of Arsenal’s most crucial players, serving as captain on several occasions and contributing seven goals and six assists in 27 appearances this season.
In September, manager Mikel Arteta commented on Saka’s contract situation: “I would love that [if he signed a new deal]. From everything that I know, he’s a player that is extremely happy and proud to be [here] and to have the role that he has in the football club. He’s been developing naturally, and everyone recognizes how essential Bukayo is for us, so hopefully we can finalize it.”
