Salah Aims for 250th Goal…

LIVERPOOL, England — Mohamed Salah has expressed his dissatisfaction with his current form this season but proudly celebrated scoring his 250th goal for Liverpool during a match against Aston Villa.

Under the management of Arne Slot, Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory at Anfield against Villa, with Salah and Ryan Gravenberch each scoring in the match. This win was significant after a challenging stretch of four consecutive defeats in the Premier League, marking Salah’s fourth goal of the season.

“This win was crucial,” Salah told TNT Sports. “After some losses in the Premier League and Champions League, it feels good to get back on track with a solid result ahead of important matches against Madrid and City. Today’s outcome was essential for us.”

Salah’s performance has been scrutinized lately, leading to him being benched during Liverpool’s recent Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

<p"When asked about his personal performance this season, Salah admitted, 'No, I'm not content. But I've been in football long enough to understand its ups and downs. It’s been a tricky season for us, with some new players who are good signings but need time to integrate. We also lost some key players, so it’s just a matter of adjusting and learning to play together.'"

With this goal, Salah not only celebrated 250 goals for Liverpool in all competitions but also equaled Wayne Rooney’s record for the most goal involvements in Premier League history for a single club, standing at 276 (188 goals and 88 assists).

“It feels incredible to score goals and win trophies for such a prestigious club,” Salah remarked. “I cherish this moment and take great pride in it.”

His manager also praised Salah following this achievement during the post-match press conference, stating, “Scoring 250 goals is astonishing, especially for just one club—it’s rare in today’s football. Moreover, he performed excellently beyond just scoring, contributing effectively on the defensive end as well.”

“And naturally, hitting the 250 mark is a special moment for him, though we know he has the capacity to keep scoring,” Slot added.
