According to sources, Mohamed Salah is expected to be part of Liverpool‘s lineup for their Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Salah did not play in Liverpool’s midweek win over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, following a controversial interview after the team’s draw with Leeds United.

The 33-year-old forward, who has been benched for three consecutive matches, has publicly expressed feeling “thrown under the bus” by the club and has indicated a strained relationship with manager Arne Slot.
Nevertheless, after discussions with Slot on Friday, Salah is expected to return to the squad for the upcoming match, a decision deemed beneficial for all involved. Following the game, Salah will head to the Africa Cup of Nations. His future will be a topic of further discussion in the coming weeks.
Last weekend, Salah hinted that the match against Brighton may be his final appearance for Liverpool, as he is scheduled to join the Egyptian national team on December 15. With ongoing interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, his departure could be imminent if a resolution isn’t reached with Slot and the club’s management.
During a press conference on Friday, Slot stated he has “no reasons” to want Salah to leave, emphasizing the importance of their discussions over the past week, including multiple communications between their representatives.
Slot clarified that the decision regarding Salah’s inclusion in the squad is ultimately his, stating, “While I consult with my colleagues, the final call on the lineup is always mine.”
Although Liverpool remains unbeaten in their last four matches across all competitions, their Premier League performance has been inconsistent, with only two wins in their last ten fixtures.
