Sources indicate that Nottingham Forest has finalized an agreement to acquire Chelsea forward Liam Delap.
The transfer is reported to be worth an initial £45 million ($61 million), with an additional £5 million ($7 million) possible in bonuses.
At 23, Delap has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge since his transfer from Ipswich Town in 2025. He was excluded from Xabi Alonso’s lineup for Chelsea’s victory against Fulham earlier this week.
According to sources, Delap was the top attacking target for Forest, and manager Oliver Glasner expressed confidence in the team’s ability to sign new players before the summer transfer window closes.
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich for £30 million ($41 million) last summer. Throughout his solitary season at Stamford Bridge, he netted one Premier League goal across 28 appearances and also scored in the Champions League.
