Crystal Palace has reached an agreement with Tottenham for winger Brennan Johnson, settling on a fee around £35 million ($47.2 million). However, Johnson has yet to finalize his choice of club, as reported by sources to ESPN.

Tottenham is willing to let the 24-year-old leave, especially as Thomas Frank plans to reshape his team during the January transfer window. Johnson has garnered interest from several clubs.

Sources indicate that Bournemouth is considering him as a potential replacement for Antoine Semenyo, who is set to leave soon, with Manchester City reportedly poised to activate his £65 million ($88 million) release clause.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been actively seeking reinforcements to help the club meet the demands of their first-ever European football campaign, as they currently sit tenth in the UEFA Conference League after six matches.

Nonetheless, Johnson is expected to weigh his options until other clubs express formal interest before making his final decision, with a continued stay at Spurs appearing unlikely.

The Wales international was Tottenham’s leading scorer last season, netting 18 goals across all competitions, including the decisive goal in May’s historic Europa League final victory over Manchester United, marking the club’s first trophy in 17 years.

However, that success did not suffice to retain manager Ange Postecoglou, and Frank has featured Johnson sparingly, with only six league starts to his name this season.

Frank is expected to address the media later on Tuesday, where he will likely provide updates on the situation.

Johnson made the move to Spurs from Nottingham Forest for £47.5 million (approximately $64 million) back in September 2023.
