Real Madrid has finalized a transfer agreement with Fulham for forward Gonzalo García. Sources inform ESPN that the 22-year-old will be joining the Premier League club, and talks are advancing for midfielder César Palacios to follow suit.
García recently debuted for Spain and is regarded as one of the most talented young forwards in LaLiga, having made a mark during last summer’s Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Palacios, 21, has represented Spain at the youth international level.
Both players are highly valued by Fulham manager Álvaro Arbeloa, who recently took charge at Craven Cottage after spending half a season as a first-team coach at Real Madrid.
Fulham is set to pay a reported fee of €40 million (£34m/$46m) for García, according to sources.

On the same day, Real Madrid announced the signing of 21-year-old Carlos Espí from Levante as a replacement for García, a player they have monitored since his youth career.
Last season, García netted six goals in just 952 minutes in LaLiga, facing competition for playing time from Kylian Mbappé, and had previously scored four goals during the 2025 Club World Cup.
Arbeloa has previously coached both García and Palacios while managing Real Madrid’s youth team, Real Madrid Castilla.
