Galatasaray has put forth a €45 million ($51.8 million) offer to acquire Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, according to sources.
The 26-year-old has been on the market for several months as the Gunners seek to enhance the left flank of their attack.
They previously considered a move for Vinícius Júnior before he renewed his contract with Real Madrid, while alternatives such as Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and Chelsea’s Pedro Neto are currently under evaluation.
Arsenal has already secured another left winger this season, acquiring Christos Tzolis for €40 million ($46 million) from Club Brugge as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who was sold to Besiktas for €20 million ($23 million) last month, and will now decide whether to accept Galatasaray’s bid for Martinelli.
Martinelli is entering the final year of his contract, which is valued at approximately £180,000-per-week ($242,000), though Arsenal holds an option to extend for an additional year.
It remains uncertain whether the player would be open to a transfer to the Turkish club as discussions regarding personal terms have not yet commenced.
The Brazilian participated in the recent World Cup and has made 191 appearances for Arsenal, contributing 41 goals since joining the club from Ituano in 2019 for £6 million ($8 million).

According to sources, Arsenal is moving towards a more transactional approach this summer, expecting outgoing transfers as they aim to build on last season’s Premier League title win, their first in 22 years.
Ben White may be allowed to leave, particularly if Arsenal pursues a deal for Ezri Konsa from Aston Villa.
The Gunners have maintained interest in the England international throughout the summer but have yet to formalize their intentions.
