Real Madrid has recently presented an enhanced contract proposal to Vinícius Júnior following the conclusion of the World Cup, sources informed ESPN, reigniting discussions that had been halted for nearly a year.
In recent weeks, there has been increasing speculation regarding the future of the Brazil international, especially with his current contract with Madrid set to expire in June 2027 and interest surfacing from Premier League champions Arsenal.
The club’s latest offer includes a salary of approximately €22 million ($25 million) per year for Vinícius, according to sources. This figure represents an increase compared to their previous offers during the past two seasons; however, the duration of the proposed contract extension has not been disclosed.
Despite the improved offer, there is still a notable gap between what Madrid is proposing and Vinícius Júnior’s expectations, which are around €30 million. Additionally, the length of the new contract remains uncertain.
Vinícius is currently earning about €17.5 million annually as he approaches the final year of his existing deal.
If he does not agree to a renewal, the winger could leave the Bernabéu for free at the end of the upcoming season and is eligible to sign a pre-contract with another club starting in January.

ESPN reported last week that Madrid might consider allowing Vinícius to depart this summer if a contract extension agreement cannot be reached.
Vinícius has returned to training on Monday following a holiday after the World Cup, where he underwent medical examinations and trained with his teammates and new head coach José Mourinho.
