Sources: Madrids Mbappé…

Real Madrid announced on Monday that France forward Kylian Mbappé has sustained a left hamstring injury involving his semitendinosus muscle, and sources have indicated to ESPN that he is doubtful for the upcoming Clásico on May 10.

Reports suggest he may be sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Real Madrid’s coach, Álvaro Arbeloa, revealed that Mbappé experienced discomfort and requested to be substituted during the team’s 1-1 draw against Real Betis on Friday.

Additionally, Real Madrid confirmed that Brazil defender Éder Militão is set to undergo surgery later this week in Finland due to an injury he suffered during the match against Alavés.

At 28 years old, Militão was substituted just before halftime during Madrid’s 2-1 victory over Alavés on Tuesday.

He has struggled with fitness issues this season, appearing in only 16 LaLiga matches after enduring cruciate ligament injuries in the prior two seasons (2023-24 and 2024-25).

Mbappé has been in excellent form, netting 24 goals in 28 league matches this season.

He is expected to play a vital role for France in the upcoming World Cup this summer, where France, who reached the finals in the last two tournaments, will begin their campaign against Senegal on June 16.

Real Madrid has only secured one victory in their last six matches across all competitions.
