Cristiano Ronaldo‘s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., aged 15, has spent this week training with Real Madrid‘s under-16 team, according to sources from ESPN.

Currently, Ronaldo Jr. plays for Al Nassr alongside his father in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The family is visiting Madrid while Ronaldo Sr. recuperates from a muscle injury sustained last month during the Saudi Pro League.

Due to his recovery, Ronaldo Sr. was not selected for Portugal‘s upcoming friendlies against the United States and Mexico during this international window.

On Tuesday, he shared photos of his training session in the gym with a caption stating, “improving every day.”

An ESPN source revealed that Real Madrid welcomed the son of their former player to train with them during the current period of unrest in the Middle East, stemming from the situation in Iran.

On Tuesday, he trained with the ‘Cadete A’ (U16) squad.

However, it remains too soon to determine whether this could lead to a potential signing with the club’s academy, according to the source.

Another source did not entirely dismiss the chance of a future move to Real Madrid but noted that the feedback on Ronaldo Jr.’s performance thus far has not been overwhelmingly positive.
