Spurs Manager Sips from…

Thomas Frank, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has stated that he was unaware he was using a coffee cup featuring the logo of their rivals, Arsenal, before their match against Bournemouth. He emphasized that it would have been “utterly foolish” to do so.

Images surfaced on social media showing Frank drinking from a coffee cup adorned with Arsenal branding prior to Wednesday’s game.

During a post-match interview, Frank responded to inquiries about the cup by saying, “It’s fair to say that not winning every single football match, it would be absolutely stupid of me to take a cup with Arsenal on it. Anyone thinking I’ve done that or that the staff has done it…”

“They were in the changing room for the game before us on Saturday. It’s common to say ‘give me a cup of espresso’ before each match. I find it a bit sad in football that I even have to address such a question. We are definitely going in the wrong direction if we’re concerned about me using a cup from another club. Of course, I wouldn’t do that. That would be really foolish.”

Arsenal had recently played at the Vitality Stadium, securing a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth. However, Frank’s photo with the Arsenal cup raised eyebrows, especially given the scrutiny facing him due to Tottenham’s performances.

Tottenham suffered a 3-2 defeat in Bournemouth, capped off by a last-minute goal from Antoine Semenyo. This loss means they have only managed to win one of their last five matches in the Premier League, leaving them in 14th place.

“It’s fair to say that everyone at Tottenham will find this tough to swallow today,” Frank acknowledged. “I hope everyone can see how much effort we put in to get things back on track. Overall, we played well, especially in the second half, and we deserved a better outcome.”

“It’s very difficult to be here right now after having played well without getting anything from the game,” he concluded.
