Manchester United have completed the signing of Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken for just under £400,000.
The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract and becomes United’s third addition ahead of Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline. United are understood to have beaten competition to secure her, despite Jusu Bah being contracted to Häcken until 2028.
Jusu Bah said joining United feels incredible, praising the squad’s togetherness and the excitement for the season. She highlighted the chance to work with head coach Eva Olid, noting Olid’s reputation for developing players, and added that she’s eager to push herself, contribute to the team’s goals, and make lasting memories at the club.
A product of Swedish football, Jusu Bah came through at Umeå before moving to Häcken in 2023. She helped Häcken win the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup in May. On the international stage, she has 11 caps for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifiers this year.
United are aiming to add at least one more player before next week’s deadline. They have already brought in defender Andrea Medina from Atlético Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City.
