Sombath said she is eager to give her all at Tottenham, noting the league’s intensity and how every match poses a challenge—something that excites her.
She added that Spurs impressed her with last season’s form and believes her skill set can add to an already strong squad.
A product of Paris FC’s academy, Sombath later joined Paris St‑Germain’s youth ranks before moving to Lyon in 2020.
Capable of playing at centre-back or right-back, she has represented France from under-16 level through to the senior team.
She featured in every match for France at Euro 2025, starting three times in the group stage.
Tottenham manager Martin Ho said the club has monitored her closely and that she aligns with the project being built.
He praised her maturity and expressed confidence that she has the attributes to progress into a top player within Spurs’ setup.
Ho also described Alice as an assertive defender who is composed on the ball, strong in duels and driven to improve daily.
He called her arrival an important step in Tottenham’s long-term plans and said the club is excited to integrate her into the group.
Spurs have been proactive this transfer window, completing six signings including Sombath.
Their early business has also included deals for Shekeira Martinez, Kirsty Hanson, Victoria Pelova, Caitlin Dijkstra and Selma Panengstuen.
