United States left-back Antonee Robinson made his first Premier League start of the season with Fulham on Saturday, showcasing his return to full fitness following knee surgery.
Robinson underwent surgery on his right knee on May 27, just two days after the conclusion of Fulham’s Premier League season. Since then, he has experienced ongoing knee pain, resulting in limited appearances this season—only four matches, including three as a substitute in the league and one start in the English League Cup.

His last match prior to Saturday was against Aston Villa on September 28.
This past Saturday, Robinson played the entire 90 minutes as Fulham triumphed 3-2 over Burnley, propelling the team to 13th place in the Premier League.
Robinson’s return to action bolsters his chances of being part of the U.S. squad for the upcoming World Cup, which the nation will co-host. He has not participated in any international matches for the U.S. this season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has four remaining friendlies before commencing its World Cup journey against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on June 12.
The U.S. is set to play against Belgium on March 28 at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, followed by a match against Portugal three days later. After that, they’ll face Senegal on May 31 and then Germany in Chicago on June 6.
Robinson played in all four matches during the last World Cup in Qatar in 2022, helping the U.S. reach the round of 16.
