The United States Soccer Federation has unveiled the new jerseys for the USMNT for this summer’s FIFA World Cup, drawing inspiration from the American flag.
In collaboration with Nike, U.S. Soccer designed two distinct jerseys — one embodying stars and the other stripes — set to debut at the World Cup co-hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The home jersey features bold red and white curvy stripes that pay tribute to the team’s 2012 design, while the away kit is a more understated version, adorned with stars against a deep navy background.
Additionally, these kits will be worn by all 27 U.S. Soccer teams, including the USWNT, marking the first time that every team representing the U.S. will don the same crest and kit design.
“A national team jersey embodies the pride of representing the crest, not only for the players but also for the fans who support them,” stated Dave Wright, U.S. Soccer’s chief commercial officer.
“As we approach the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup, we are thrilled to see players from all 27 of our National Teams and fans nationwide wearing these kits as we prepare for a landmark event in the sport.”

According to a recent press release, U.S. Soccer engaged players during the design process through workshops and feedback sessions, discussing critical elements like fabric weight, seam placement, and overall fit. This commitment indicates that all aspects have been considered for the kits as they head into the World Cup.
Of note, each jersey features an “Inner Pride” emblem inside the collar symbolizing each player’s internal drive. Both the numbers and names are showcased in a newly designed “Stars and Stripes” font that will be used for future kits as well.
“I believe both kits cater to diverse preferences,” remarked Ronnie J. Stewart, Nike’s global product director. “For those wanting to boldly represent the crest, the light kit will clearly display their allegiance. For a more casual, off-field look, the darker kit is an excellent choice.”
Fans can expect to see the new jerseys in action when the USMNT takes on Belgium in a friendly match at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on March 28. The team will also face Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Portugal on April 1, also in Atlanta.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to commence at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11, featuring a match between Mexico and South Africa. The USMNT’s opening match will be on June 12 against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
