The United States national team forward, Brenden Aaronson, has officially signed a new three-year contract with Leeds United, as announced by the club on Thursday.
Aaronson, 25, joined Leeds in 2022 after starting his professional career with the Philadelphia Union in MLS. He also spent the 2021-22 season at RB Salzburg before moving to Leeds.
“Everyone at Leeds United is excited that Brenden will continue with us ahead of our opening league match this weekend against Nottingham Forest,” the club stated. “We eagerly await his continued success at Elland Road and beyond in the coming years.”
During the 2025-26 Premier League season, Aaronson scored four goals and provided five assists across 37 appearances, amassing a total of 129 matches played for Leeds since his arrival.
As the new 2026-27 season approaches, Aaronson has already made an impression with goals scored against Liverpool and Manchester United during friendlies.
Earlier this summer, Aaronson represented the U.S. national team, making a run to the round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup, where he made one appearance in the group stage.
