American forward Folarin Balogun continued his impressive form by scoring once again, leading Monaco to a 2-0 victory over Angers in Ligue 1 this Saturday.

Balogun opened the scoring for Monaco in the 57th minute, marking his fourth goal in the past four matches across all competitions.

He was fortunate as his header from a cross deflected off a defender and hit his leg before crossing the goal line.

Monaco maintained control of the match and doubled their lead in the 62nd minute when Simon Adingra scored with a powerful curled shot from outside the box.

With this win, Monaco has achieved three consecutive victories and climbed to seventh place in the standings, while Angers remains in 12th, trailing by eight points.

Balogun previously scored two goals in Monaco’s 3-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League playoff.

After managing only three goals in 15 prior matches, the former Arsenal player seems to be regaining his form just in time for the upcoming World Cup.

Balogun is expected to play a crucial role for the United States as they prepare for the tournament, co-hosted by Canada and Mexico.

The 24-year-old has tallied eight goals in 23 international matches.
