Manchester United has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign midfielder Andrey Santos, according to ESPN sources.
The initial fee for the 22-year-old Brazilian is set at £48 million ($64 million), with an additional £2 million ($2.3 million) contingent on potential add-ons.
Santos has already agreed to personal terms, and Chelsea has granted him permission to undergo a medical examination.
Following their pursuit of Santos, United shifted focus after missing out on Mateus Fernandes, who joined Tottenham from West Ham for £85 million ($114 million).
