Arsenal will take on OH Leuven in the Champions League play-offs, following their final league match against the same team, setting up a potential all-English quarterfinal showdown with Chelsea.
Having secured a 3-0 victory over Leuven on Wednesday, Arsenal will face the Belgian newcomers again in February during the play-offs.
If they are victorious, a quarterfinal match against Chelsea awaits, with the current Women’s Super League champions having secured a direct path to the knockout stage after finishing third in the league phase.
For three consecutive years, Chelsea faced Barcelona in the semifinals, but this time they are drawn on the opposite side of the bracket, ensuring they will avoid a matchup with the three-time champions until the final if they advance.
Manchester United, also participating in their first Champions League campaign, finished the league stage in sixth place and will compete against Atletico Madrid. United previously triumphed over the Spanish side 1-0 in an intense league match.
Should United progress, they will face Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals, with the possibility of a semifinal clash against either Paris FC, Real Madrid, or Barcelona.
