Kick-off is at 17:00 BST, with live coverage on BBC One and BBC Radio 5 Live.
Former England forward Emile Heskey told the show he was surprised Tuchel chose 36-year-old Brentford midfielder Jordan Henderson over Kobbie Mainoo to see out the 2-0 group win against Panama.
Heskey said Henderson’s selection in the squad caught him off guard and questioned turning to a player in his thirties rather than giving the same responsibility to someone in their early twenties.
He added that Mainoo likely has several tournaments ahead to develop and wondered how the youngster would feel about the decision.
Discussing the Panama match, Rooney suggested that against a low block, Jude Bellingham can drop deeper because of his intensity, desire and drive.
He felt Morgan Rogers is more comfortable playing with his back to goal than Bellingham, and predicted Jude would take up that role against stronger opponents.
On Anderson’s potential record transfer and his England form, Heskey argued that people should look beyond the fee, which often becomes an easy stick to beat a player with.
Rooney called Anderson a terrific player,
saying he was disappointed Manchester United didn’t sign him, while noting that big-money moves don’t always work out—pointing to Kalvin Phillips and, to a degree, Jack Grealish.
Asked about Rice and Anderson both playing as holding midfielders, Rooney felt it wasn’t necessary in the Ghana game.
