After four seasons away from the WSL, Birmingham have returned after winning WSL 2 last season.
They narrowly beat Palace and Charlton to the title, clinching it on goal difference with a final-day win at The Valley.
The Blues were strong at both ends, finishing with the league’s second-most goals scored and second-fewest conceded.
They also recorded the best goal difference in the division, while striker Lily Crosthwaite collected the WSL 2 Player of the Year award last week.
Head coach Amy Merricks has added six new faces, notably experienced centre-back Millie Turner—who made 145 WSL appearances over eight seasons with Manchester United, has two England caps, and is the new club captain.
She will partner 23-year-old Neve Herron, a WSL 2 Team of the Year selection.
Herron told BBC Sport that while there will be challenges and plenty of highs and lows, the team will be ready for the season opener.
