In a thrilling encounter, Al Diriyah emerged victorious with a 2-1 win in extra time.

However, the highlight of the match was an incredibly bizarre own goal.

Al-Ula was leading 1-0 until the 65th minute when Laborde had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot. He aimed, but Al-Ula’s goalkeeper, Al Owais, made a fantastic save with his left foot.

The ball bounced back into the box, where Michael, formerly of Flamengo, attempted to clear it.

Unfortunately, he struck the ball directly at his teammate Al Hussain, resulting in an OWN GOAL!

This unfortunate incident left Michael and the rest of the Al-Ula players— including defensive midfielder Danilo Barbosa, formerly of Botafogo— in despair.
