Bastoni is a key player for the Inter squad, making the club unwilling to consider his sale. He is also under contract until 2028, earning €5.5 million annually, making him one of the team’s top earners alongside Lautaro Martinez, Nicolò Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Marcus Thuram.

Regardless of their stance on Bastoni, Inter is actively exploring options for a new centre-back due to upcoming contract expirations for Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Stefan de Vrij at the end of the season.
