Barcelona is poised to narrow the gap to Real Madrid to just three points after taking a 3-2 lead against Celta Vigo in their La Liga match at Balaidos.
The scoring commenced early, within the first 10 minutes, as Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty awarded after a VAR review for a handball by Marcos Alonso. However, Barcelona’s lead was short-lived, as Sergio Carreira capitalized on a lapse in the defense, beating the offside trap and firing a shot into the net to equalize for Celta.
Barcelona regained the advantage thanks to Lewandowski, who netted his second goal of the night with a close-range finish, set up by a delightful cross from Marcus Rashford. Yet, Celta responded again, this time through Borja Iglesias, bringing the score to 2-2.
Just when it seemed the teams would head into halftime level, Lamine Yamal struck for Barcelona in stoppage time, securing a 3-2 lead as the teams headed to the break.
