Barcelona aimed to narrow the gap to Real Madrid to three points, but they were held to a draw for the second time by Celta Vigo in their La Liga match at Balaidos.

The match started with a penalty awarded within the first 10 minutes, as Marcos Alonso was called for handball after a VAR review. Robert Lewandowski successfully converted the penalty, putting Barcelona ahead. However, their lead was short-lived; Sergio Carreira capitalized on Barcelona’s high defensive line and equalized with a strike past Wojciech Szczesny.

Barcelona managed to retake the lead, thanks to Lewandowski once again, who netted his second of the night following a brilliant cross from Marcus Rashford. Yet, Celta responded with yet another equalizer, this time from Borja Iglesias.

Celta Vigo demonstrated great resilience by equalizing twice after falling behind, while Barcelona reflected on another disappointing defensive performance.
