AC Milan is once again considering adding a new centre-forward during the January transfer window. Italian reports suggest that the Rossoneri may take advantage of West Ham United’s situation with Niclas Füllkrug, who appears to be seeking an exit.
With the potential sale of Santiago Gimenez, whom they acquired from Feyenoord for €35 million last January, Milan would face a void in the forward lineup that head coach Massimiliano Allegri would need to fill.

Typically employing a 3-5-2 formation, Milan has also experimented with players like Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Christopher Nkunku in central attacking roles this season.

As reported by several Italian outlets on Tuesday, including Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, Milan may be inclined to make a move for Füllkrug in January.

The 32-year-old, who had an outstanding performance for Germany during EURO 2024, reportedly wants to leave East London and could present a viable option for Milan.
Milan had previously expressed interest in signing Füllkrug last summer before he joined West Ham, ultimately opting to sign Alvaro Morata instead.
Considering his age, injury history, and the absence of goals in the Premier League this season, Füllkrug is likely to be available for a relatively low transfer fee.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport reports that Milan is also interested in Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, although this potential move seems improbable in January and may be one to keep an eye on for the summer.
