Bayern Munich Star Harry…

Harry Kane, the star striker for Bayern Munich, was rumored to be a target for Barcelona during the international break. However, he has dampened any expectations that the Catalan club might have had regarding a potential transfer. The England captain noted that he hasn’t yet engaged in discussions with Bayern about a contract extension, despite his current deal running until 2027.

The 32-year-old reportedly has a €65 million release clause that could become active in January, but Bayern plans to hold off on negotiations until after the winter transfer window, believing they would be in a stronger position then. In an interview with BILD, as reported by Diario AS, Kane expressed that he feels at ease even without having started contract talks.

“I haven’t had any contact with anyone; no one has reached out to me. I’m very comfortable with my current situation, even though we haven’t yet discussed my future with Bayern,” he stated.

‘It’s very unlikely’ – Kane on a potential summer 2026 transfer

Furthermore, Kane reassured Bayern fans by easing concerns about a possible move to Barcelona.

“There’s no urgency. I truly enjoy my time in Munich, which is evident in my performance. If there is any communication (with Bayern), we’ll see what happens. But right now, my focus isn’t on next season – there’s a World Cup coming up this summer. It’s quite unlikely that my situation will change after this season,” he explained.

When asked if Bayern fans should be concerned, Kane responded, “No, I don’t think so.”

Kane is a top target for Barcelona next summer

This statement follows reports indicating that Barcelona has identified Kane as their primary target for the upcoming summer. The experienced forward strikes a balance between cost and quality for the Catalan club, which is currently constrained by salary limits and unable to pursue younger high-caliber forwards. This presents a significant challenge for their plans to eventually replace Lewandowski, as they need to first convince Kane to consider joining them.
