Arsenal Clinches Deal for Edwin and Holger Quintero

In a disappointing turn for the Catalans, they appear to have lost out in the competition to sign two promising teenagers they had been tracking.

According to Joaquim Piera of SPORT, 16-year-old twins Edwin and Holger Quintero, who are products of Independiente del Valle, were highly regarded by Barcelona’s scouting team but are now set to join Arsenal.

Scouts monitoring the South American scene have long recognized the potential of both players, who were developed at Ecuador’s leading youth academy.

Edwin is a left-footed winger who excels on either flank. He is known for his technical ability, one-on-one skills, versatility, goal-scoring, and an elegant playing style, making him a valuable attacking player.

His brother Holger plays as an offensive No. 10, also recognized for his technical prowess—he is agile, quick, possesses good vision, and excels at arriving late into the box.

Barcelona’s scouting team held the Ecuadorian twins in high esteem, yet it is Arsenal that has acted decisively to secure their signatures.

The details of the deal are already being finalized, with an agreement expected to be completed soon for an undisclosed fee.
