Real Madrid and Barcelona…

Real Madrid and Barcelona are competing to acquire Eintracht Frankfurt’s left-back, Nathaniel Brown, next summer, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Madrid has been scouting the 22-year-old German talent in recent matches, while Barcelona has praised his impressive performances this season.

Manchester United is also considering Brown as a potential signing. Frankfurt is reportedly open to selling him at the end of the current season.

After cashing in on Omar Marmoush and Hugo Ekitike this year, Frankfurt is keen to continue this trend with another valuable player.

With Brown’s contract running until 2030, the club is in a strong position to demand a substantial transfer fee, which they estimate to be between €60-70 million.

Following a standout breakout season that helped Frankfurt secure a Champions League qualification, Brown has maintained his impressive form this term.

So far this season, he has contributed one goal and three assists in 18 appearances, drawing attention for his performances in the Champions League.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is seeking a high-caliber left-back to provide competition for Alejandro Balde in the starting lineup.

Although Gerard Martin serves as a reliable backup for Balde, he is more suited to playing as a center-back.

Brown is known for his exceptional speed, defensive prowess, and physicality, effectively neutralizing threats in one-on-one situations and during defensive transitions.

Despite having spent €50 million on Alvaro Carreras last summer, Madrid remains keen on securing the young German talent.

Brown has also started to establish himself as a regular in the German national team and is a strong candidate for the left-back position at the 2026 World Cup.
