After receiving the initial occupancy license for phases 1A and 1B of the Spotify Camp Nou redevelopment, FC Barcelona reopened their iconic stadium on November 22 with a match against Athletic Club.
Since the reopening, Hansi Flick’s team has played two additional matches, facing Deportivo Alaves and Atletico Madrid.

All three games, which resulted in victories for Barcelona, were attended by 45,000 fans, the capacity allowed in the first and second tiers of the Tribuna, Lateral, and South Goal stands.
Potential for Increased Capacity Against Osasuna
The next goal is to open the two tiers in the North Goal section. According to SPORT, Barcelona hopes to achieve this before the year ends, as everything is already in place.
Discussions with the Barcelona City Council regarding the phase 1C license are progressing well, and the outcome now rests with the relevant authorities.

If the license is granted in the near future, a capacity of 62,000 spectators could be implemented for the match against Osasuna on December 13.
Should the approval be delayed, the team will have to wait until late January to play at home again, aside from any Copa del Rey matches, until the weekend of January 24-25 against Real Oviedo.
Once the North Goal area opens, the club plans to offer additional season tickets to its members.
Additionally, for the match against Oviedo, the new supporters’ section—set to be named Grada 1957—may also be inaugurated.

The club has been diligently working for months on this new section, including engaging with members in person, and it will be accessible to all young members awaiting season tickets at Spotify Camp Nou. This area will have 1,247 seats.
