Response is the Sole…

Coventry City manager Frank Lampard believes his team performed better than the scoreline indicates after their 3-0 defeat at Ipswich.

This marked only the second league loss of the season for the Championship leaders.

“In the first half, we were winning every battle, the second balls were going our way, and we showed great character,” he shared with BBC Radio CWR.

“We had solid organization, a strong work ethic off the ball, and we managed to restrict their chances.”

“However, they scored from a chaotic corner situation, which made things more challenging for us. Yet, I still felt the players fought hard throughout.”

“Of course, I’m not pleased with a 3-0 loss. I’m a poor loser, and I truly dislike defeats; I will analyze this thoroughly and possibly have a word with the players.”

“Things happen in football, but my main concern is the response moving forward.”

“Regarding the match itself, anyone who witnessed the first half would recognize that this isn’t the Coventry team from the first half of last season; it’s a side that aspires to achieve great things. While we fell short today, that’s part of the game.”
