Denzel Dumfries sustained a serious injury during Inter’s home victory over Lazio just before the November international break.
Initially, the injury seemed minor, but the 29-year-old has yet to make a return to the pitch.
Additionally, Dumfries might not participate in Inter’s crucial Super Cup match against Bologna next week.

Cristian Chivu had hoped to have his starting wingback available for Tuesday’s match against Liverpool.
However, after missing Inter’s last Champions League game, it is likely that Dumfries will miss two additional matches.
It now seems almost certain that he will not travel with the team to Genoa on Sunday.
Furthermore, the chances of him being fit for the Super Cup in Riyadh are slim.
