Atalanta has had an impressive few days, bouncing back from a Serie A defeat to Verona with a comeback 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the Champions League.

This result pushed them into the top eight, and they could directly qualify for the Round of 16 if they maintain their current form in Europe.

Despite this success on the European stage, Atalanta continues to struggle domestically after a disappointing period under coach Ivan Juric. Under Raffaele Palladino, they have recorded losses against Napoli and Verona, with only a single 2-0 win over Fiorentina to show from their last ten Serie A matches.

In terms of injury news, Raoul Bellanova sustained an injury during the match against Chelsea and will be out for about a month, joining teammates Kamaldeen Sulemana and Mitchel Bakker on the sidelines. Isak Hien is also unavailable due to flu symptoms.

De Ketelaere, Scamacca, and Lookman are beginning to form a strong attacking trio, and no changes are expected there. The defense will see some rotation as well; Sead Kolasinac, who started midweek after knee surgery in April, is expected to start again.

Cagliari has recently broken a streak of four draws in their last nine matches, achieving a surprising 1-0 win over 10-man Roma.

Colombian international Yerry Mina remains sidelined along with Mattia Felici, Ze Pedro, and Andrea Belotti. However, Adam Obert returns to the squad.

In the Cagliari attack, Gennaro Borrelli, Sebastiano Esposito, and Michael Folorunsho will lead the charge, with particular attention on Palestra. The 20-year-old is on loan from Atalanta, where he was a standout in the youth academy, and is looking to showcase his talents in Serie A.
